Let’s Sit and Talk Chairs

Accent chairs are designed to stand out so think bold colors or sculptural shapes that complement your space.

Lounge chairs are lower, deeper, and built for sinking in which are perfect for relaxing.

Armchairs have supportive arms and upright backs, often paired with sofas or used in reading nooks.

Style meets function in all three, but their vibe and purpose are different.

Absolutely.  A well-placed chair in the bedroom creates a cozy corner for reading or laying out clothes.  In the entryway, an accent chair adds style and function, perfect for slipping on shoes or dropping a bag.  Make sure the size and material suit the space: compact and durable for entryways, softer and more inviting for bedrooms.

100% yes!  A chair that’s too bulky can cramp a room, while one that’s too dainty can feel lost.  Measure your space, check the chair’s width and depth, and leave breathing room around it.  Consider visual weight too.  Legs that lift the chair off the ground will look lighter than a blocky base.

Aim for at least 18–24 inches of clearance around a chair to keep walkways comfortable and avoid a cluttered look.  If it’s next to a table, leave 12–15 inches between the chair and table edge.  The goal is to let the chair breathe, visually and physically, especially in high-traffic areas.

Think about scale, shape, and function.  A low-slung lounge chair might disappear in a high-ceiling room, while an oversized armchair could overwhelm a tight corner.  Measure your space, then match the vibe.

Absolutely.  Contrast creates interest.  Anchor them with a shared element color tone, material, or leg style to keep the look cohesive instead of chaotic.

Seating matters.
